Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How do I make a booking?

Only members can make lodge bookings. The first thing you need to do is to log into the web site. Using the details provided by the Club enter these in the Usernname and Password fields on the top left. Once you are logged in, select Make Booking under the Handy Links menu on the left. The system will then allow you to browse the bed availability in each lodge for any date. If there is a bed available in the lodge for the night you want then click on this night. The system will then ask you for the number of nights you will be staying and the number of guests in your booking. If there are sufficient beds available for your stay, the system will then ask for details of each guest in your booking. After submitting these details, the system will calculate the price for your booking and you can then proceed to pay for the booking using credit / debit card (preferred) or cheque.

Please also review the Club's Booking Rules at the bottom of this FAQ.

Q: I am having problems logging in, what do I do?

Each adult member of Brindabella Ski Club has an account to log into the booking system.

If you did not remember your login details then please:

  1. use the password recovery page to get the system to resend your account details. You will need to know the email address associated with your account; or
  2. if you don't have an email address or you don't know the email address associated with your account, please contact the Club's Administration Manager.

To get to the password recovery page click on the 'Forgotten Password?' link in the Member's Login area. Once you press the 'Recover Password' button, the system will email you your logon details. If you don't receive the the email within 5 minutes then please check your SPAM or JUNK mailbox as your mail program may have filtered the Club's message.

If you cannot remember your password then you can request the system to send it to the email address associated with your account. Use the 'Forgotten Password' link in the Member's Login area. If the system can identify your name and email address then the password will be sent to you. It may take up to 5 minutes. If you don't find the email, please check your SPAM or JUNK mailbox.

If you don't have an email address or you don't know the email address associated with your account then please contact the Club's Administration Manager.

Q:Where are the lodge usage graphs?

Bed availability in each lodge (or usage) can be seen by using the 'Lodge Availability' link under Handy Links on the left hand menu.

Q:Why can't I book more than 7 nights?

The booking procedures in Round 1 for Winter Bookings limit each member to 7 nights total for Winter (shoulder and peak) bookings. These 7 nights can consist of:

  • up to three weekend bookings (each weekend starts on a Friday night and is for 2 nights), OR
  • one 5 day mid week booking (starting on a Sunday night) plus 1 weekend booking, OR
  • one 7 day full week booking (starting on a Sunday).

The system keeps a track of your bookings and displays the number of nights you have remaining in brackets.

Please note that it is not possible to include a member who has insufficient nights on a booking; the system will ask you to change the name or reduce the number of members on the booking.

The 7 night rule does not apply to Summer bookings or to other Winter Rounds. Please see the Booking Procedures for further details.

Q:Why do I get 'Page Expired' when I use my browser's BACK function?

This is a known 'bug' with Internet Explorer based browsers. Please avoid using your browser's BACK function and instead use the links provided on the page or under Handy Links on the left.

Q:Can I change my password?

You can change your password (and update any other personal details) by logging in to the system and going to My Details -> Personal Information.

It is recommended that you change your password regularly.
